To cultivate the next generation of sheep producers by providing young entrepreneurs with access to affordable capital to establish new flocks or expand existing small operations.

Purpose
For more than four decades, the United States sheep industry has faced declining engagement from young producers in both lamb and wool production. The Foundation exists to reverse that trend by investing directly in ambitious, forward-thinking individuals who are committed to building sustainable, impactful sheep operations.

Through donor support, the National Ram Sale Foundation will offer a unique opportunity within the sheep industry: a near-zero interest loan program designed specifically for young entrepreneurs (ages 20–40).
Each year, one or more qualified applicants will receive funding to:
· Establish a starter flock, or
· Expand an existing small flock into a more economically viable operation

Loan Requirements
Loan recipients will repay the funds over a structured term. As repayments are made, those funds will revolve back into the program, creating a sustainable cycle that supports future generations of sheep producers.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible.

· Applicants will submit a formal application and business plan.
· Recipients of the program will have access to experienced sheep industry mentors
· The Foundation will select qualified individuals annually.
· Awards will be distributed as near-zero interest loans
· Funds must be used directly for sheep flock development or expansion.
· Repayment terms will be clearly defined and structured to ensure long-term sustainability of the program.
